IBM Software Group Astaro – a Sophos company Implementing easy and flexible cloud integration with local solutions The need: Astaro, which in 2011 became the Network Security Group (NSG) of the data security specialist Sophos, was one of the first businesses in Germany to embrace Salesforce.com’s cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) technology on a large scale. To develop more integrated business processes, Astaro needed to find a way to integrate Salesforce.com with other, non-cloud-based systems. The solution: Astaro implemented IBM® WebSphere® Cast Iron® Cloud Integration as a virtual appliance to connect its local ERP system to its cloud-based CRM system.
