1 Submitting Grants in the Oncology Section
(All grants in excess of £10,000 will require internal grant review, including Fellowships, Program and Project grants, as responsibility has now been devolved to individual Departments). We would strongly advocate that all Fellowships also take advantage of the mentoring scheme ( and allow additional time for processing. Notify Section Grant Coordinator – Specify clinical or laboratory study A minimum of 3 weeks prior (other grants may require up to 6 weeks – see guidelines) to funding body submission deadline Complete URMS Form and Prepare Draft Application 3 weeks prior for submission deadline (see Academic Secretary for URMS costing) Submit Draft Application for Review – 2 to 3 weeks prior for submission deadline Submit URMS Form for Authorisation to Chris Day / Steph Allen 2 weeks prior to submission deadline Revise Application - Taking into account reviewers comments – 1 to 2 weeks prior for submission deadline Complete Application include costing info from Research Office – 1 week prior for submission deadline Obtain School Authorisation Prof Reed – Prof Powers We advise checking that signatories are available Obtain University Authorisation - from Research Office Submit Application
