Dayle Beyer, our Educational Foundation Liaison has volunteered to be our January speaker, which we are planning for Thursday, January 24th. The topic she's considering is "3 Proven Secrets to Reducing Your Stinking Thinking," which will focus on being a critical thinker. Terry Payne, a professor at King University, attended our last meeting and ed me afterwards to inquire about the student discount for meetings. He stated that he would encourage his PM students to attend our meetings. Though most of his students are online only, this shows that we are generating more institutional interest. New PDU Course creation process in the Provider Portal PMI now requires chapters to create a course in the Provider Portal to submit batch PDUs and for members to claim PDUs. In establishing the course, you need to include a course description and skills that members can expect to gain. The best approach going forward will be to create the course ahead of time so the claim code can be included on the PDU certificate Claim code automatically generated when you create the course. It appears that PMI will audit a random selection of these courses for quality control.
