3rd Grade Weekly Forecast
September 17-21, 2018 #ThunderousThird Welcome to Third Grade! Please know there is an expectation that all leaders should be reading at least 20 minutes a night. This is the easiest thing you can do to ensure your child’s growth as a reader this year! Transportation Changes must be a written note and the office needs to be contacted about any changes. Leaders will go home the way listed unless there is a written note stating otherwise. What we are Learning: ELA Visualizing to make sense of texts Retell stories including fables , folktales, and fables. Explain how a character’s traits affect the sequence of events in the story. Getting ideas from read alouds and writing drafts in a variety of genres Math Fluently adding and subtracting within 1,000 (Test on Wednesday) Understanding properties of multiplication Social Studies Natural Resources Science How Do Engineers Use the Design Process? Upcoming Events: Every Tuesday MEDIA NIGHT 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Media Center Come Read With Your Child - Guest Speakers -- Make & Takes -- Read Aloud Stories -- Family Resource Center Will Be Open! Thursday, September 20 Spirit Night at Chick-Fil-A Four Corners If you want to volunteer: Covey Corner: Habit Focus: Habit #5 Seek First To Understand then to be Understood I listen to others without interrupting. I don’t blurt out. I try to understand other people's feelings and views even if they are different from my own.
