No 1983/2003 EU-SILC (list of target primary variables)
No 1738/2005 structure of earnings
Commission regulation, amending the previously mentioned 4 regulations by just replacing "ISCO 88 (COM)" by "ISCO 08".
Until now, data on occupations according to ISCO was provided in a gentleman's agreement basis. There are nevertheless four Commission regulations which mention, for the provision of occupational data, the use of the classification ISCO 88 (COM):
No 698/2006 quality evaluation of structural statistics on labour costs and earnings
No 377/2008 of labour force sample survey -codification

4. ISCO legal framework Recommendation
Taking into account the importance of having comparable data on occupations not only at EU but also at worldwide level, Eurostat will prepare a recommendation on the use of the ISCO classification.
