Work for local newspapers/magazines. Send copies of works to literary critics. Playwrights write for local theater groups. Poets give local readings.

Write literature that can be sold to publishers. Writing for magazines and newspapers gets your name out more often – easier to make a living this way. Specialize in one area of interest: travel, political writing Those with master’s degrees and doctorates teach at colleges and universities.

I love to write; poetry, stories, etc. I love to read good writing. I love to listen to the lyrics of songs. I’ve had a career that made me the money I needed, now I want a career doing something I love to do.
