'But I have this against you,

ZEAL: Passion, strong interest;
The energy and enthusiasm in pursuit of an ideal

When our zeal is gone:
We are less likely to work on growth
We are less likely to remain faithful
'I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. 'So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth Revelation 3:15-16

Judah had lost God Josiah’s restoration of zeal: 1) Tearing out the idols 2) Restoring the Temple 3) Turning to the Word

12. Tear Down Your Idols
Idolatry = covetousness Ephesians 5:5 Colossians 3:5
Colossians 3:5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
Eph 5:5 For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

Runners know that they must push themselves every day in order to maintain the fitness needed to run. We need to be constantly renewing our zeal
