There, Their, and They’re Practice in Your Journal
Write the following sentences in your journal and choose the correct form of “there, they’re, or their.” We are going to the ice cream store over ________________. That red house is __________ home. _________ dog’s name is Rover. ___________ in over ____________ heads. ______________ is only one thing that I want from you. ___________ closing on the house tomorrow and then ___________ moving to Utah. I think that __________ not going to come to _____________ own party.

Star-crossed (adjective)
Thwarted or opposed lovers Example: “A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life”

5 points: Originality 10 points: Proper Usage of the Terms (one point per term) 5 points: Neatness/ Effort Vocabulary Homework Show your vocabulary knowledge through one of the three options. Write a sentence for each of the vocabulary words. Each word should be used appropriately and be underlined. Remember, I should be able to gauge the meaning of the word from your sentence. (Example: If the word was ‘angry,’ a good sentence could be: I was angry at my little brother and showed my rage by slamming the door to my room. Draw an image for each one of the words. Your images should be clean and clear regarding the meaning of the word. Each term should also be written underneath the image. Write a story, song, or poem using the terms provided. Again, the words should be clear in meaning and used appropriately.
