Save up enough money to give to the local temple, so they could buy him from his owner
Slave became property of the god served in such temple
Cannot purchase our own salvation – 1 Peter 1:18,19; Revelation 1:5,6

3. “FOR FREEDOM” Servants who enjoy freedom NOT in Bondage to:
Human opinion, popularity, praise or fear of mem – Galatians 1:10
Sin, addiction, guilt – Romans 6:14
Worry and anxiety – 1 Peter 5:7
Superstition, our own arrogance or ignorance –1 Timothy 2:4

4. “FOR FREEDOM” Dread and terror of death – Hebrews 2:14
Our own selfishness and demand for instant gratification – Philippians 3:19
Being possessed by our possessions – Luke 12:15
Being our own worst enemy, the bondage of self-destructive behavior- 1 Peter 4:3; Titus 3:3

5. Follow Jesus- Be Free Indeed – John 8:36
Many view the life they live as Christians as restrictive and burdensome – 1 John 5:2
Christ has set us FREE from a guilty conscience, superstitions, myths, fablies, wrong ideas.
FREE from peer pressure & following the crowd – from damaging & ignorant ideas concerning human relationships, & sinful and addictive habit that are harmful.
FREE from bitter, resentful, angry & feeling of self-pity – 1 Peter 3:10-12

6. KEEP STANDING FIRM Value & appreciate your liberation!
Determine never to allow yourself to become a slave of sin & men again
“DO NOT BE ENTANGLED AGAIN” – Acts 15:10

7. IF YOU RECEIVE CIRCUMCISION
Attempt to gain acceptance or favor with God
IF adding circumcision cuts one off from Christ – most certainly the observance of the Sabbath would also- Exodus 31:16; Genesis 17:9-13
“Eternal law?” – Nehemiah 9:13,14
They did observe practice of circumcision –Genesis 17
Acts 2:38 – Conditions for salvation

8. UNDER OBLIGATION TO KEEP THE WHOLE LAW
Observing Circumcison as a condition for salvation does not make one “better” it actually makes one a “debtor”
The Law was a complete package.
“The law of Moses was never presented as a legal smorgasbord from which its followers could make their selections according to persoal preference (Galatians 3:10; Deuteronomy 27:26). The law pronounced a curse on those who did not uphold all the commands, all the time.” H. Leo Boles

9. YOU HAVE FALLEN FROM GRACE
We can lose our salvation by going back into sin – 2 Peter 2:20-22
By adding human commandments to the gospel – Galatians 1:6-9
The gospel is not a message that we can customize!

10. FAITH WORKING THROUGH LOVE
“In Christ Jesus” is a relationship entered through faith and baptism- Galatians 3:26,27
“Through love” – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Faith that results in loving obedience – 1 John 2:4-6

11. FAITH WORKING THROUGH LOVE
Christians who cause selfish divisions in the church do not have such a faith – Galatians 5:15
Christians who engage in immorality do not have such a faith –Galatians 5:19
Christians who place themselves and their own selfish desires over needs of their brethren- Galatians 5:20
Christians who lack joy,peace,patience, kindness, etc.- Galatians 5:22,23

12. YOU WERE RUNNING WELL WHO HINDERED YOU?
The Galatians were doing great in living the life of a Christian – they were growing and they were faithful.
WHO HINDERED YOU?
WHO is hidering ME?
WHO am I listening to and following right now?
WHOSE message am I putting ahead of the gospel?
WHO am I trusting instead of God?

13. FROM OBEYING THE TRUTH THIS PERUASION
“That you should not obey the gospel”- Romans 10:16
Gospel must be obeyed – Hebrews 5:9; 1 Peter 1:22-25
THIS PERUASION
This desire to avoid obeying the truth – John 8:44

14. A LITTLE LEAVEN, LEAVENS THE WHOLE LUMP
False teaching, unchallenged will always spread – Titus 1:9-11
Seeming “small error” can cause tremendous damage
1 Corinthians 5:6; Galatians 5:9
Determine to remain FREE men and women in Christ!
