3 Checking in What are we doing? Why are we doing it?
Where are we going? We are exploring the different perspectives of the characters in the story. We are trying to think carefully about each character. We are writing a multi-paragraph essay about character development. We are identifying ways that the characters have changed (or not changed). We want to understand how the characters develop and change over time. We will write our own characters. We are preparing for a group discussion (a “fishbowl”). We can learn from each other’s ideas! We will participate in whole-class discussions.
