Introduction Accreditation is conducted by Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE), as per IEB’s constitution. Presently our programmed are accredited on Input Based Education : Provisionally Approved Version March Accreditation Manual for Undergraduate Engineering Programmes (for OBE) Outcome–based Education (OBE) is an education theory that bases each part of an education system on goals (outcome)

Introduction Deans, Head of Dept and Senior faculty member have already attended conferences/workshops on OBE : Full day training sessions were organized by various Dept of MIST for their faculty members with external recourse persons Five Dept have submitted Self Assessment Report to BAETE Accreditation team member Dr Siti of Malaysia visited MIST on 03 Nov She has given her guidance and few observations regarding common aspects

Pts for Faculty Faculty members should be engaged in research, development and professional activities, such as consulting : They should also be involved in the activities of relevant professional societies. The results of these activities should benefit the students

Pts for Faculty The institution or the department should periodically arrange training for the faculty members on outcome-based education and assessment : All the faculty members should be adequately trained on how to establish course outcomes, conduct teaching-learning activities appropriate for the outcomes and assess the level of outcome achievement

Pts for Faculty : Every student should be assigned an advisor. The advisor should counsel, guide and mentor the student on all academic and professional matters

Pts for Labs All labs shall have their own plans to prevent and manage incidents and accidents : Fire detection and fire-fighting facilities should be adequate An action plan is required to address safety issues when demanded by the situation Adequate measures should be in place to make the campus safe for students, employees and visitors
