What are some of my questions about it?

Fallacy (false) A fallacy is something that is stated as a fact, but it is just not true. Or maybe it’s just an opinion. Metaphors – uses different words to describe something else (ex: It’s raining cats and dogs = it’s raining really hard). IF you see metphors, write what it actually means and then figure out if it is a fact, opinion, or a fallacy.

Worship one God – our God- Fact “Allah” Roots to Ishmael – fact – but yet to be proven Polygamy – Fact – but we don’t know yet. Wasn’t mentioned in the video Conquered many lands – fact All Muslim men have beards – fallacy Muhammad died in 632 – fact They think Islam should be the only religion – Opinion because not all Muslims think that Islam should be the only religion. But maybe their faith states that it is the best religion. We need to research. Muhammad is the most important person in Islam – fact They are very extremist – OPINION because not all of them are – it’s actually just a minority. Not all Muslims are terrorists. There is only a small number who are. Islam has 5 pillars of faith – Fact They traded - fact

Places Arabia – very hot desert, not much water, birthplace of Islam, it became a succesful trade center, peninsula, southwest corner of Asia, where Europe, Asia, and Africa meet. Climate shaped life in the region. Very hot and dry desert Scattered oases – only place to find water, 100 degrees daily, very tall sand dunes – 800 ft. shaped by wind People Two ways of life: Nomads: travel around desert, find food and water for their animals, they live in tents, lived in tribes – families/relatives – because it provided protection. Sedentary: settled life – started towns, right by oases or rivers, towns became trading centers where nomads would also come to trade for what they needed. Spices, gold, leather, and other goods Events
