4/16 Objective Today, we will demonstrate the presence of DNA in eukaryotic cells using a DNA extraction technique.
6
Key Point #1: Extraction:
To remove
7
Key Point #2: Living Cells
Prokaryotes Eukaryotes Bacteria Contain DNA Double or single helix Animals and Plants Contain DNA Double helix
8
DNA Extraction Key Point #3: Key Point #4:
DNA is extracted from the nucleus Key Point #4: The nuclear membrane must be broken to release the DNA Break the phospholipid membrane

Rules for the lab We will stay with our assigned group at our assigned lab table. We will read ALL directions before beginning the lab All materials will be used safely and properly Materials will be returned to their proper place and CLEANED Our lab space will be spotless at the end of the lab Failure to violate one of the rules will be immediate removal from the classroom and a score of a zero on the lab
