AFS is broken down into:
Divisions→ Chapters→ Student Subunits→ Sections

-Purdue has existing Student Subunit

5. Goals of IU
builds on the traditions and history established at IU from famous ichthyologists such as David Starr Jordan and Carl Eigenmann, by providing students interested in water resources an outlet to become involved.
The club is focused on Fisheries Management and Conservation.
is a collective of students from various backgrounds and majors who are interested in applying their diverse skills towards promoting clean water resources management and policy making from numerous angles.
Future projects include: Wetland Restoration (Long-term) & Local Watershed Stream Surveys.

6. AFS @ IU Composition Composed of those members in good standing
Governed by
President, Vice-President, Past-President, and Secretary-Treasurer
Officers must be voted into their respective positions through an election process
Detailed description of officer duties will be provided to those who are interested
Divided into separate Committees:
The Executive Committee:
Consists of elected officers holding the above mentioned positions
In charge of general Club affairs
Authorized to act on behalf of the Unit between annual meetings

Stream Survey: involved with the planning, designing, collection and analysis of the short-term goal of conducting a stream survey to study water quality.
