“Subsistence Study for the North Aleutian Basin” Overview Update of ADF&G community surveys Geographic focus: Cold Bay, False Pass, Nelson Lagoon, and three other representative communities Information in addition to conventional ADF&G surveys Household economics input to subsistence Detailed on sharing subsistence harvest Enhanced information on timing of harvest TEK data; map data that includes information on relative importance of locations Information on subsistence cycle with respect to wage employment. Pre- and post-study presentations to communities

Socioeconomic Study Profile
“North Aleutian Basin Socioeconomic Study, Phase I” Overview Aim is to provide detailed socioeconomic overview (baseline) of key communities Synthesis of existing socioeconomic data; focus groups for certain qualitative data Phased study Phase I Geographic focus: Nelson Lagoon, Sand Point, Cold Bay, False Pass, King Cove, Unalaska, CDQ Groups, and the associated Boroughs Following initial assessment of socioeconomic data, will reevaluate need for Phase II Geographic expansion Topical expansion Pre- and post-study presentations to communities
