Narrative Text Writing that tells a story
Stories and novels are the most common narrative texts

Informational Text Writing that mainly gives information about a topic. Your science or history text book are examples of informational texts

Persuasive Text Writing that tries to convince you to do something or think in a certain way. Editorials, letters to the editor, and advertisements are examples of persuasive texts
