m stands for slope
b stands for y intercept

4. Identify slope and y intercept
y = 2x + 3
y = - 4x – 7
y = 8 + 9x
y = ½ x – 12
y = x + 3
y = 4x
2x + y = 10
8x + 2y = 20

5. y = 3x – 4
m = 3
b = - 4

6. Graphing using slope and y-intercept
Make sure y is alone
Identify slope (m) and y-intercept (b)
Plot the y-intercept (b) on the graph
Turn the slope (m) into a fraction and use it to rise and run to many more points
Draw a line through the points!
