1 A Full Self Sacrifice Jesus made a FULL SELF SACRIFICE by becoming obedient to the point of death, giving Himself, and giving up glory, all for the love of sinners. Jesus’ disciples must make this same full self sacrifice, as exemplified by Stephen and Paul.

2 A Full Self Sacrifice Demonstrated by Jesus Christ
Obedience to the point of death (Hebrews 5:8; Philippians 2:8) Giving and giving up (Ephesians 5:2; Corinthians 8:9; Philippians 2:5-7) Love for the souls of others (Mark 10:45; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; Titus 2:14; Galatians 1:3-4)

3 A Full Self Sacrifice Demanded of Disciples
Luke 14:27 “And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.” The cross you bear is the instrument of your own death; it is the symbol of your self-sacrifice! Luke 14:33 “So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.”

4 A Full Self Sacrifice Exemplified by Stephen and Paul
Stephen gave himself and pled for the souls of sinners (Acts 7:59-60) Paul… Obeyed no matter the cost (Acts 26:16-21; 9:20-23; 2 Corinthians 11:24-33) Gave up everything (Philippians 3:7-8; Galatians 6:14)

5 A Full Self Sacrifice When my love for man grows weak,
When for stronger faith I seek, Hill of Calvary, I go To thy scenes of fear and woe. There behold His agony, Suffered on the bitter tree; See His anguish, see His faith, Love triumphant still in death. Then to life I turn again, learning all the worth of pain, Learning all the might that lies in a full self sacrifice.
