Stone setting Supplies
Bezel wire Medium Solder Easy solder Sheet metal A flat cabochon stone Saw blades Saw frame File Sandpaper Polishing equipment Super glue
6
Step 1 Pick a stone Measure the outside of the stone so you know how much bezel wire to cut. Cut bezel wire as strait as you possibly can
7
Step 2 Make the bezel wire sit flat against the seam and solder on the seam. Add Flux If the seam is not touching flat it will not solder
8
Step 3 Clean off the oxidization with sandpaper being carful not to break the bezel wire. Shape to the stone, but do not leave the stone in the bezel wire.
9
Step 4 Make sure it sits completely flat on the sheet metal and solder to the sheet metal.
10
Step 5 You can cut the metal before hand or you can cut it after that is up to you, but cut the sheet metal around the outside of the bezel wire.
11
Step 6 Solder the stone setting to your ring Or
Solder a jump ring to your stone setting
12
Step 7 Set stone Using the pusher and burnisher put the stone into the setting (use super glue to keep in place). Use the pusher to push the bezel wire over top of the stone Use the burnisher to smooth out the bezel wire onto the stone.
