4. Grading System Assessments
Includes chapter tests, quizzes, and summative assessments
Class Work
Includes warm-ups, class work, class notes, computer work, and participation
Homework
Includes Math nightly, Reading nightly and filling out reading log, and Spelling nightly

5. Grading System The grading scale is as follows:
90-100% : Exceeding Expectations
80-89% : Meeting Expectations
70-79% : Approaching Expectations
69% : Not Yet Meeting Expectations
Progress reports keep you informed of your child’s work completion progress
They will receive a school report card 3 times per year based on their grade level performance

6. Homework Homework is assigned Monday through Thursday.
Students receive their assignments on Mondays and they are due on Fridays.
It is each student’s responsibility to complete nightly homework.
The majority of the homework assigned is in a packet.
To receive full credit students need to show ALL of their work and provide an answer.
Math homework is graded on both completion and accuracy.

Backpack and binder is organized
Rarely says, “I left it at home.” or “I couldn’t do my homework because I didn’t have ____ at home.”
