Formative Assessments Exit Tickets, CFUs, 1-5 Question Quizzes, Small Performance tasks, copybooks, Next Steps, FAs have a low, but balancing impact Beginning Assessments Baseline, MAP, Reading/Speaking, Writing, Collaboration

What is the MAP test? MAP, or the Measure of Academic Progress, is a computerized adaptive test which helps teachers, parents, and administrators improve learning for all students and make informed decisions to promote a child's academic growth. The Key is Growth. It is a Measure, not a judgment. To support MAP Growth, we: Celebrate Attendance Celebrate the 3Ms Award Celebrate Growth from Test 1 to Test 2 Programs like The Readers’ Cup, Spelling Bee, Today you will get resources from your teachers to support MAP Growth.

What is Q-a-D? The “Question a Day” (QaD) initiative focuses on improving students cognitive reasoning skills. The ADEK QaD initiative requires each student to complete a Maths and Science question each day from Sunday to Thursday. This should be done as a daily homework task and without the help of any adults. Daily interaction with online Science and Math Questions for grades 4 & 8 Q-a-D promotes higher order thinking skills Students perform a periodic assessment at the end of each trimester (Trimester Online Test) to provide performance data and feedback reports to schools Q-a-D prepares students for TIMSS 2019 (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) that will be conducted in April 2019
