1 Present Continuous

2 We use the Present Continuous:
For actions taking place now, at the moment of speaking. (I’m learning now.) For temporary actions; that is action that are going on around now, but not at the actual moment of speaking. (I’m looking for a job these days.) With adverbs such as: always, constlanty, continually, etc. For actions which happen very often, usually to express annoyance, irritation or anger. I’m always meeting Alex when I go shopping You’re constantly interrupting me when I’m talking. For changing or developing situations. More and more species are becoming extinct.

3 Affirmative Sentences
When we want to make an affirmative sentence in Present Continuous we use: ”to be” and an adjective with ~ing. You are watching TV. She is singing. I am speaking English

4 Negative Sentences You are not (aren’t) watching TV!
When we want to make negative sentences in Present Continuous we use: ”to be” + NOT and an adjective with ~ing. You are not (aren’t) watching TV! She is not (isn’t) singing! I am not speaking English!

5 Interrogative Sentences
When we want to make interrogative sentences in Present Continuous we use inversion: Am/is/are - (I/you/he/she/it/we/they) and an adjecwiwe with ~ing. Are you watching TV? Is she singing? Am I speaking English?

6 REMEMBER !!! The Present Continuous is used with the following time expression: now, at the moment, at present, these days, still, nowadays, today, tonight, ect.
