TH/P1-31 Analysis of Plasma Behavior in the Localized Non-axisymmetric B Region of the GAMMA 10 Tandem Mirror Islam M.K., Nakashima Y.1), Yatsu K.1) Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, Dhaka 1207, Bangladesh 1)Plasma Research Center, University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba, Ibaraki , Japan Key achievements: Mechanism of the observed plasma behavior in the localized non-axisymmetric B region of the GAMMA 10 tandem mirror is clarified: (a) Plasma shift in the ion drift direction: Ion drift due to the non-axisymmetric B effect and electron displacement due to small angle Coulomb scattering are the possible candidates of the plasma shift. (b) Electron current perpendicular to the ion drift direction: Displacement of electrons due to small scale Coulomb scattering is the possible candidate of the electron current perpendicular to the ion drift direction. 2. Present analysis helps to understand experiments of the fusion devices that contain non-axisymmetric magnetic field configuration.
