Students will look watch commercials and pay attention to sound, movements and visuals used to convey meaning and create a media anchor chart as a class and learn about the text features of a newspaper.
Comprehension Story: Kitten’s 1st Full Moon
Phonics: trigraph-tch & dge, and spelling with -ch/-tch and -ge/-dge, digraph ie.
Students will write a composition about a personal experience during Spring Break using pronouns such as “I, we, they, them”.

Students will practice addition fact strategies, identify a cone and sphere, use bills to pay for items up to $20, and add 3 single-digit numbers.
Identify and label the parts of a plant and their jobs.
Students will learn ways people exchange goods and services, including bartering and using money. They will also identify goods that come from other countries and discuss different ways to save money.
