6 How many awards will there be?
3 Individual Awards, 3 Team Awards and 1 Exemplary Service Award

7 What will the award recipients receive?
Individual Award and Exemplary Service Award: a Certificate of Excellence in Performance and a cash award Team member a Certificate of Excellence in Performance, and whole team a cash award for group activities

8 How to apply? Individual Award or Exemplary Service Award: nomination by supervisors or another eligible full-time staff complete the nomination form Team Award: application by the teams or nomination by Deans/Heads complete the nomination/application form

12 What will the Selection Panel look for?
Individual Awards role models who foster trust, fairness and kindness in the workplace Team Awards more members from different units would earn additional scores

13 When will be the Award Ceremony held?
around April/May 2019

14 How about the count-back period for the Scheme?
normally 2 to 3 years

15 Are Heads/ Directors of Offices eligible for the Individual Award and who would nominate them?
their respective Vice President will sign off the nomination

16 How many nominations for individual/team award can a Faculty/ School/Office/Centre submit?
for Individual Award, Team Award and Exemplary Service Award

17 Can a staff be nominated for Individual Award, Team Award and Exemplary Service Award?
a staff may be nominated for all awards in the same year but should be considered in different aspects of contributions Exemplary Service Award only for middle level and frontline non-teaching (Band A to E) staff

18 Can a staff with appointment contracts ending on or before the closing date of application/nomination be nominated for Award? Applicants/Nominees should have a ≥1 year appointment and have served the University for 1 year the awardee should be an HKBU full-time non-teaching staff at Award Ceremony

19 Can nominations be anonymous?
Nominations should not be anonymous

20 How large should the team be for team award?
2 to 20 members Special credits to diverse teams with large size (over 10 persons).

21 Any restriction on the rank of staff members to be nominated/to apply for the awards
Individual Awards and Team Awards: no restriction Exemplary Service Award: for middle level and frontline (i.e. Band A to E) non-teaching staff

24 Tips for writing nominations
Give specific examples and reasons Specify where the biggest impact of their contribution can be seen? i.e. improving the University brand, reputation, service delivery, etc.
