In the week 1 you were able to:
Identify your strengths within creative media Identify the skills you have gained within creative media Explore possible ideas for your Final major project

In the Week 2 you were able to :
Update your Learner progress tracker Originate range of ideas for FMP – at least three Produce SWOT analysis of your project ideas Analyse each idea for viability – use focus groups and lecturer to support your decision. Fill in Project Proposal form Start project research – product research Evaluate your work – update your learning progress tracker at the end of the week

In week 3 you were able to concentrate on the research:
Subject research / secondary: Anything and everything that is already written and done about your topic in form of written work, video, audio, interactive elements such as websites, blogs, Facebook, twitter, Instagram posts etc. Make sure to evidence end reference your findings. Evaluate your research findings in terms of: What particular piece of research informed you about your project (it could be important information, ideas such as design, technical elements of the project such as framing, lighting, editing etc.).

Week 4: target audience research and skills matching research
You will continue to research your subject matter / this is ongoing process. Anything you find that can support your idea is valuable source of research. Don’t forget you need to show a range of research techniques and sources used (books, magazines, newspapers, films, TV programs watched, radio programmes listened to, visits to museums, galleries, local library – looking at archive books etc.). Primary research is also vital; your own location photographs, interviews, focus groups etc. This week you will also show evidence of looking into and researching: Your target audience Skills and techniques required for the project

Target audience research:
Analyse your target audience, investigate your target audience demographics and record the type of media or entertainment they consume. All media sectors divide their audience into categories according to: 1. Age 2. Gender (male or female) 3. Sexual preference: heterosexual or homosexual 4. Postcode or demographics: where they live

Target audience continue
5. Ethnicity: which country they come from 6. Disposable income: how much money they have to spend after their main bill have been paid 7. Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) what they job is Conduct some primary research to test your target audience. For example you can create an online forum asking your target audience about type of products they listen, watch, what do they like about it etc.

Skills research Investigate range of skills and techniques that you will need in order to produce an effective, original and to near professional standard project. Ask yourself what skills / knowledge do you need to complete the project? Will you need to improve your skills or learn new skills? What hardware of software will you need to complete this project? For example you can watch tutorials or read about how to achieve specific skills and techniques for your project and then experiment yourself. Make sure to keep the evidence of all your experiments and trial exercises. Don’t forget to evaluate and blog your work as well as to complete the ‘student progress book.’
