Debrief your assigned Chapter using the Reflection Protocol Answer the following questions to share with the whole group: What are the top 3-5 Most Important Points in this chapter? Identify current practices around the topic in your schools or the district. What might you do differently based on your new learning?

Teachers will: Understand the standards, their shifts, and how they, along with the 4Cs are the foundation of solid core instruction: Elementary focus: ELA Middle focus: ELA & Math I High focus: Math I Design and implement high quality, scaffolded standards and 4Cs based units using the Understanding by Design Framework. Understand what they believe about students individually and collectively, as well as the implications of those beliefs as they facilitate learning. Instructional support staff will: Utilize effective collaborative and communicative practices to ensure opportunities for student mastery of standards and participation in 4 Cs learning environments Be knowledgeable of PBIS, MTSS, and SEL and use data to inform the development and implementation of standards-based and UBD- aligned instructional improvement efforts in all content areas K-12 School administration will: Understand the standards, their shifts, and how they, along with the 4Cs are the foundation of solid core instruction: Elementary focus: ELA Middle focus: ELA & Math I High focus: Math I Identify evidence of the Understanding by Design Framework in use in the classroom. Lead instructional staff in the continuous improvement of dynamic learning experiences. Lead constructive discussions focused on faculty beliefs about student learning and the implications of those beliefs on instructional design and student outcomes. (6 MINUTES) Review the outcomes for teachers, school admin, and instructional support staff - we will revisit these frequently in PL sessions throughout the year. You can see how the learning of different groups is parallel but not the exact same - different groups need to be engaged in different levels of learning about different topics. Take 3 minutes and talk at the table about the implications for your school work if these are the outcomes expected. So how will we engage in the learning that moves us to these outcomes? Strategic

Dr. Smith- Give our souvenir of success (smiling screen cleaner) and discuss how it symbolizes the relationships built this year in our area the need to work on it within schools going forward to next year. It will be vital for the kind of work we are focusing on as a district.
