Putting it all together: Stoichiometry
Calculating the mass of one substance from the mass of another substance. mass A moles A moles B mass B molar mass moles A moles B mole ratio moles B mass B molar mass
8
Let’s do a problem together
Calculate the number of grams of NH3 that can be produced by 5.40g of hydrogen. N2 + 3H2 2NH3 mass A moles A moles B mass B molar mass mole ratio molar mass x x x =
9
Do problem #1 on the Stoichiometry worksheet.
Your turn! Do problem #1 on the Stoichiometry worksheet. Explain to a neighbor how you did it. We’ll share as a class.

Announcement about Finals
By the end of Monday (12/9/13), those with A’s in chemistry can choose not to take the final exam. If you’re close to an A, you might still get there by doing the extra credit mole project. Must still come during finals for an alternative assessment.
