4. About Teams
A team is a group of users who need access to the same accounts.
Teams determine account ownership. For example, Lee Hogan belongs to the Midwest team and has access to all accounts owned by that team. However, Lee is not a member of the Northeast team and does not have access the Northeast team accounts.
How you organize your teams is a business decision. You can create teams based on region, territory, revenue potential, account type, or any other criteria that fits your requirements.

5. Team Management A team can consist of users, teams, and departments.
A team that is added to another team is referred to as a nested team.
When you create a new team, you can select users to add to the team.
Each team must have at least one team owner.
You can add a user to a team individually or to all teams at once.
After adding a user to a team, you can modify the user’s security rights as they apply to the team

6. Levels of Team Security
User: After a user is added to a team, the user’s security rights may be modified on that team.
Department: Departments and all the users therein share ONE security profile.
Nested Teams: One team added to another team is referred to as a “nested team.” Nested teams and all the users therein share ONE security profile.

SpeedSearch Client
The SpeedSearch Client is installed on each SalesLogix Client user’s workstation. Users can access SpeedSearch through the SalesLogix Client interface, or can launch SpeedSearch as a separate application.
SpeedSearch Server
The SpeedSearch Server is the application that runs SpeedSearch. It can also refer to the hardware on which the SpeedSearch Server application resides.
SpeedSearch Service
The SpeedSearch Service enables you to build indexes to files and folders to facilitate a search.

11. Pre-Installation Considerations
If you plan to modify or customize the SpeedSearch indexes, you need the Advanced license otherwise:
A Domain Administrator user (SLXService).
A SpeedSearch License

12. SpeedSearch Indexes
An index is a collection of files or records against which a user can search.
The SpeedSearch Service builds the indexes used for SpeedSearch.
Initially, SalesLogix automatically builds the default indexes and includes two index schedules.

13. SpeedSearch Indexes Full Build Incremental Build
Two ways to build SpeedSearch indexes:
Full Build
Indexes are completely rebuilt each time.
You can schedule one full build for each index.
By default, indexes are scheduled for a Full build every Saturday at 12 A.M.
Incremental Build
Only indexes for changed records or files are rebuilt.
You can schedule one Incremental build for each index, but at least one Full build must occur before an Incremental build.
By default, indexes are scheduled for an Incremental build every Monday through Friday at 12 A.M.

15. Realigning
Territories
Allows the Administrator to reassign Account Ownership at a wholesale level, versus one account at a time.
Using Admin Roles, the Realign Territories function may be given to any User.
Activities
Activities can be reassigned User to User.
The Custom option allows the creation of a query to assign activities to a particular user.
