1. Comments on Final Exam Exam logistics: What is on the exam:
Monday May 6, 2019, 12:00-2:00pm
Open book, open notes (must be hardcopies)
No computer.
No device that communicates.
Expect to be in the room for 2 hours.
What is on the exam:
Between 4-7 problems to work.
Additionally (possibly) short-answer or true false.
Expect problems that integrate several topics.
Points during semester when I said “This would be good final exam question.”
Exam coverage: Comprehensive over coverage of entire semester.
Energy system overview;
Three-phase and per-unit analysis;
Component model, operation, analysis for transformers, lines, synch gens
Systems analysis: power flow problem.
Systems analysis: economic dispatch
Distribution systems and two-ports
Power factor correction
Induction machines
Power electronics
