The 2013 National Road Race Championships will take place in Glasgow just one week before the start of the Tour de France. Based on elements of the 2014 Commonwealth Games course the road racing will take place in the heart of the city, utilising much of the proposed course for the Games and providing a spectacular setting for the racing. For the first time in the events history, the National Time Trial Championships will be contested as part of the same weekend of racing and that the main route is on closed routes in a city centre.
