A run-on sentence joins together two or more sentences that should be written separately. Concept Development What is a run on sentence What are the 2 ways you can change a run on? There are 2 ways to correct a run on sentence 1.Separate two complete ideas into two sentences. Each sentence should have a subject and a verb. EX: The boy found the raft. The raft floated down the river. 2. Rewrite sentence as a compound or complex sentence Ex: The boy found a raft and it floated down the river.
