PRA Tool Workflow Home Create new PRA Return to existing PRA Stage 1: Initiation Include/ exclude pests from categorised lists Add regulatory status View pest datasheet in the CPC Pest lists Categorised pest lists based on CPC distribution data Select pest Stage 2: Risk assessment Review pest lists No Does the pest require phytosanitary measures? Select next pest View CPC datasheet The PRA Tool has been designed to be flexible. It not prescriptive to a particular workflow. The pest lists act as a central focus. From the lists, all individuals pest risk assessments can be completed. Followed by the completion of all pest risk management assessments (i.e all pests in the pests potentially requiring phytosanitary measures are assessed, then all pests in the pest requiring phytosanitary measures are assigned management measures). Alternatively, the risk assessments and risk managements for a single pest can be completed sequentially before moving onto the next pest in the pest requiring phytosanitary measures list. The PRA report can be generated at any stage of the process. Yes Stage 3: Pest Risk Management View PRA summary Export report

Horizon Scanning Tool Training video: https://youtu.be/04IHE3GbFLY
Prioritizing invasive species threats Targeted users: risk assessors, plant protection officers, quarantine officers, protected area managers and researchers The tool provides: user-friendly means of accessing a large volume of relevant data for categorizing and prioritizing potential invasive species threats to a country, state or province. Potential threats can be prioritized by: habitats pathways plant hosts (for Crop Protection Compendium subscribers only) plant parts in trade (for CPC subscribers only) taxonomic group Results output as a list with links to datasheets with further information in the Invasive Species Compendium and Crop Protection Compendium (CPC subscribers only). They can also be exported to CSV for analysis. Training video: Action on Invasives milestone, The Horizon Scanning Tool (beta) has been launched with links to the tool available on the Invasive Species Compendium and Crop Protection Compendium. The Horizon Scanning Tool will provide risk assessors, plant protection officers, quarantine officers, protected area managers and researchers with a quick and user-friendly way to access a large volume of relevant data for categorizing potential invasive species threats. The Horizon Scanning Tool uses information from CABI compendia datasheets to generate a list of invasive species that are absent from the selected ‘area at risk’ but present in ‘source areas’, which may be relevant because they are neighbouring countries, are linked by trade or transport routes, or share similar climates. The list of invasive species can be filtered using various criteria (e.g. pathways, habitats and taxonomy) to focus on sets of potential invasive species that may require more detailed risk assessment, surveillance, public awareness or direct action to prevent their introduction and spread. There are two versions of the invasive species Horizon Scanning Tool available; a free version for users of the open-access Invasive Species Compendium and a premium version for subscribers to CABI’s Crop Protection Compendium. The tool currently has open beta status for early use while enhancements to the content and interface continue. Press release:
