Why Should We Worship God?

All Creation Is Made to Worship God
Worship fulfills our purpose – Isaiah 43:6–7, 21; 1 Peter 2:9. We have a choice – Genesis 1:26–27; Psalms 19:1; 148:1– 14; John 4:23–24. Creatures are designed to worship – Colossians 1:16; Ephesians 1:6, 12, 14.

Worship Expresses Our Love for God
Love is a response to the person and the activity of God himself. Love is the basis of our relationship with God – Mark 12:30; Deuteronomy 6:5.

He is your praise and he is your God, who has done these great and awesome things for you which your eyes have seen. Your fathers went down to Egypt seventy persons in all, and now the LORD your God has made you as numerous as the stars of heaven. You shall therefore love the LORD your God, and always keep his charge, his statutes, his ordinances, and his commandments. Deuteronomy 10:21–11:1
6
I love the LORD, because he hears My voice and my supplications
I love the LORD, because he hears My voice and my supplications. Because he has inclined his ear to me, Therefore I shall call upon him as long as I live. Psalm 116:1–2
7
The LORD keeps all who love him, But all the wicked he will destroy.
O love the LORD, all you godly ones! The LORD preserves the faithful And fully recompenses the proud doer. Psalm 31:23 The LORD keeps all who love him, But all the wicked he will destroy. Psalm 145:20
8
If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, “Let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them,” you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the Lord your God is testing you to find out if you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall follow the Lord your God and fear him; and you shall keep his commandments, listen to his voice, serve him, and cling to him. Deuteronomy 13:1–4
9
We love, because he first love us.
1 John 4:19
