2 Fig 1 Hemodynamic recording obtained after 1 year in circulation from a dog with an SMV positioned between the left ventricular apex and the aorta. The SMV is contracting at a 1:2 ratio with the heart and stimulated at a 33-Hz burst frequency. Arrows indicate effects of SMV contraction in the pressure and flow traces.
