Your introductory paragraphs are excellent in terms of setting the context for research I.e. the purpose, importance of audience profiling, etc. You have evaluated tools, research methods and skills required for journalism discussing both advantages and disadvantages. You have included a detailed discussion of multimedia skills e.g. podcasts, online video, interactivity, etc.

Your evaluation is very good as you have highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of your research planning an execution. You have suggested ways in which you have improved but you could just expand a little more on this. For example, could you have benefited from using focus groups, or from interviewing customers at the venue? You could try to suggest ways of improving your secondary research, for example, maybe you could have researched similar posters to i8dentify the type of content you could include.

You have demonstrated an excellent understanding of journalistic theory Charlotte, and have evaluated your application of the theory very well. Well done. There are some grammatical errors in your writing about your photojournalism piece, Just take care to avoid that. Also, you say that you found this difficult because you don't know many interesting people. Remember that, as a journalist, you should be aware that everyone has a n interesting story to tell. There are interesting people around you all the time.

4.1.1 Critical evaluation of ways of analysing journalism texts
You have evaluated the Galtung and Ruge theory of news values very well. You have explained the theory, applied it an analysis in order to evaluate its usefulness. Your explanations and application to a range of news stories demonstrates good academic and practical understanding. You have concluded that it is useful in relation to analysing newspapers but less so for analysing magazines. You have explained your reasoning satisfactorily. You have also applied and explained Steve Neale's theory on genre. The explanation of Neale's theory could have been more detailed. For example, you could have contextualised the theory as one that stemmed from an analysis of film. You have evaluated it with reference to music magazines.

4.1.2, Journalism genres and news values
You have analysed examples of journalism content to identify generic codes and conventions. You have analysed relevant examples of video journalism, photography and audio within journalism to explore differences and similarities between journalism genres. You needed to discuss news values in more detail in relation to these texts.
You have made insightful comments that demonstrate clearly an ability to apply critical perspectives appropriately and with purpose. You have selected appropriate examples to analyse.

You have selected a specific magazine feature article to analyse in order to determine the extent to which feature writing conventions have been applied and which new s values have made the article newsworthy. You have identified codes and conventions as well as news values. Your analysis is brief however. You have not discussed feature writing conventions in depth. For example, you have not discussed whether or rules such '5 Ws' has been applied. You have contextualised the specific example you have used could have  discussed how the context would impact on the form and the content of the feature article, and how the target audience would influence whether or not the story is newsworthy.

4.2.1, The impact of media law and regulation on journalism practice
. You have comparted how the print journalism industry and broadcast journalism industry are regulated differently. You have demonstrated a very good understanding of the key terms and processes involved in media regulation specifically journalism. You have understand how journalism ethics are at the heart of codes of practice. You have explained the external laws, and have discussed them in more detail. You have discussed the different circumstances in which these laws might be applicable and examples have been used to illustrate your points. You have applied parts of the Editor's code and two laws to your Fmp, although this discussion could be more detailed.
