Because of mounting public awareness of the dangers of drivers distracted by cell phones, legislators must begin to take the problem seriously and do something to resolve the problem in this nation. Cell phone usage while driving impairs drivers, causes accidents and is not regulated equally or fairly from state to state. “It’s definitely an issue that is gaining steam around the country,” says Matt Sundeen of the National Conference of State Legislatures (Layton). How many more lives need to be taken by careless drivers using their phone’s on the road? The time has come for our United States law makers to put consequences into place for offenders.

Restatement of Thesis First, you need to restate your thesis using different words. Summarize Key Points Next, you need to give a brief description of the major topics you argued in your essay. Echo Hook and/or Call to Action The last sentences of the conclusion end with a hook and/or ask the reader to do something about the topic being addressed. Do not use personal pronouns like: I, me, we, us, you, etc. The only exception would be when a writer hooks the reader with a first-person narrative. An conclusion paragraph must contain:
