Figure 2 Graphical representation of learning curve among all 12 trainees for characterization of polyp histology by using CUSUM analysis: crossing the lower limit threshold indicates performance within the acceptable rate of 10% (achieved competency), crossing the upper limit threshold suggests an unacceptable rate of 15% (requires retraining), and results between these 2 thresholds indicate need for ongoing observation. All trainees crossed the lower threshold (achieved competence) after reviewing 46–58 videos (median, 48.5).
