What kind of attitude does he have toward her surroundings?
What decision does she have to make?
What clues hint toward his decision?
Does he make a good decision?
Report out.

4. Read another story
In your group, you’ll read & discuss either Joyce’s “Eveline.”

Discuss in your group.  Report out.

5. In-class essay
Write a handwritten essay of 1-2 pages that discusses the following prompt:
When making decisions, I find that I am most like Sammy <or> Eveline …
