4 The Deaflympics is a global scale event
In 2015 from March’28 till April’05 Khanty-Mansiysk and Magnitogorsk will host the XVIII Winter Deaflympics Khanty-Mansiysk Magnitogorsk

6 HISTORICAL INFORMATION
– deaf sports starts to develop in Russia; the first International Winter Deaflympics, the program of the competitions includes 2 disciplines; – Russia is participating in the Deaflympics for the first time; – the Deaflympic movement starts its developing in Ugra; – the athletes from Ugra are taking part in the Summer Deaflympics for the first time; 2015 – the Winter Deaflympics will be held in Russia, the program includes 5 sport disciplines: Competitions in 5 sports will take place in Khanty-Mansiysk; Competitions in 4 alpine skiing disciplines will take place in Magnitogorsk; National team of Russia will consist of 78 athletes from 19 country regions;

Our athletes: Tatiana Gorbunova – a prize-winner of the National Championships Sergey Yermilov – a multiple champion and prize-winner of the Deaflympics Alexey Groshev – a world champion and a champion of Russia Anna Fedulova – a multiple Deaflympic champion Stepan Kuznetsov – a world champion and a champion of Russia Sport discipline – snowboard Our athlete: Maria Podorovskaya – a champion of Russia and multiple prize-winner of national competitions
