McDonalds Deluxe Meal: (Individual or group)
Record a Vlog on your phone or Ipad where you present the top 5 benefits of learning a new language. Find out how to say ‘Hello’ and ‘Goodbye’ in 5 different languages and have a go at saying them! Upload your video to Padlet. You could include music, props and signs!
McChicken Sandwich:
Scan this QR code to watch a Youtube video about the benefits of studying languages. Design a leaflet on Powerpoint or Publisher which explains the opportunities that studying a language can give you. Include at least 5 opportunities you hear.
McDonald’s regular fries:
Select 6 jobs where speaking another language is important. Go to to find out how to say each job in French. Use your findings to create a mini wordlist on Word or Powerpoint. Include a title, a list in English and a list in French.
Garden side salad:
Use the internet to find out what the top 10 most spoken languages in the world are and how many people speak each one! Produce a poster on Word or Powerpoint to show your findings. Include a title, words and pictures.
Step 2: Deliver your homework- It’s due on the 30th September.
Complete your task and upload it onto the Year 8 Padlet homework site for your class. To do this, look at the “HOW AND WHERE TO UPLOAD MY TAKEAWAY HOMEWORK” PowerPoint. Don’t forget to post your full name and class e.g. 8T1.
