2008: I finished the longest and toughest sled dog race on earth without having to send any dog back home. I was the first Iditarod rookie ever to do so. 2010: Yukon Quest at a highly competitive level. Followed by the Iditarod after only two weeks of rest. Only 20 mushers have ever done both races in one winter.

Training From October 2009, 24/7 will be about the dogs. Together well train for more than 3000 miles in one of the worlds last unspoiled, untouched, wild areas: Alaska. Well test ourselves in some 200-300 mile races.
11
The Yukon Quest From Fairbanks to Whitehorse: 1000 miles with just 14 dogs and a sled. Turning your back to civilisation for 12 days, looking mother nature straight in the eyes. -40°C, white-outs, cracking ice, overflow, loneliness, blizzards, moose... 3 hours of sleep every 24 hours.

Adventure is a path. Real adventure self-determined, self-motivated, often risky forces you to have firsthand encounters with the world. The world the way it is, not the way you imagined it. Your body will collide with the earth and you will bear witness. This will change you. Nothing will ever again be black-and-white. Mark Jenkins
