Sketching And Shape Description Group# Innovative Mechanicts

What is Sketching ?? 1. > The first hand drawing in engineering Drawing is called Sketching.. 2. * It is technique of making drawing without using instruments other than pencil eraser or Sharpener including paper for sketching 3. * It is first step for the representation of an scale drawing (Instrumental drawing)..
4
Sketching 4: * It means a technical person or an engineer represents his ideas initially in the form of sketches with correct proportion but not to SCALE..
5
Purpose of Sketching 1. To transmit the information quickly to the other. 2.To transmit the ideas of designers to draftsmen 3.In field of factory it occurs when repairs/changes are made in an existing drawing 4.To make the studies of layout views there required a mechanical drawing 5.It is a communication/ discussion between Engineer and workmen 6.For teaching aid during the discussion on different problems, the sketching is used etc...
6
Sketching instruments and Materials 1: pencil * (a): H-grade pencil is good all around soft (b): HB pencil may be used for sketching (c): The pencil should have conical point and frequently sharped
7
Sketching instruments and Materials 2: Sandpaper/Sha rpener > The Sandpaper or Sharpener is used to make the conical point of pencil
8
Sketching instruments and Materials 3: paper > Experienced draftsman may use plane, unrolled paper for sketching while it is better to Sketch on the cross sectioned (graph paper). >Using graph paper for sketching it is easier than the plane paper for drawing straight lines > In sketching the graph paper scores good properties than the plane paper
9
Sketching instruments and Materials 4: Eraser >It is used in sketching for * Correction * Editing purpose * And erasing unnecessary lines etc....
10
Sketching Horizontal lines 1:. Locate the two points which should be parallel to top /bottom and mark them
11
Sketching Horizontal lines 2: Sketch short light line from left to right and backward between two points by pulling from points 1 to 2
12
Sketching Horizontal lines 3: now dark the line using one continuous, keep your eyes on the ending point
13
Sketching vertical line 1: similar to Horizontal lines, locatetwo points from top to bottom, parallel to vertical boundary lines
14
Sketching vertical line 2: same as horizontal line draw a light line from top to bottom in given points
15
Sketching vertical line 3:Now meet the two given points 1 & 2 from top to bottom
16
Sketching inclined lines 1:Similarly but from low left to upper right
17
Sketching inclined lines 2: Or upper left to lower right
18
An Sketch Here you can see the sketched two circles, used different lines
