Planners/Class Dojo– These are our basic methods of communication. I often write notes to let you know how well your child is doing in this classroom (other teachers also write comments in the planner/Class Dojo). Your child will also write his/her homework down daily in the planner. Please make sure to check the planner daily and sign that you have seen it. Your child should have his/her planner signed each day, as needed.

6 Red Devil Folders – Every Tuesday, it is required by the school that your child’s work for the past week be sent home in his/her Red Devil Folder. Please look over the papers with your child, sign the folder and return any papers on the return side to school the next day.

7 Tardies, Check-In & Check-Out
A student is tardy to school when he/she is not in homebase at 7:45 a.m. Students who are tardy must sign in through the office. For a tardy to be considered excused the parent must present a note from a doctor, dentist, or court official. Students who accumulate excessive tardies to school each semester may be subject to the following action: 5 Tardies – Letter to parent 8 Tardies – Office referral and phone call to parent 10 Tardies - Office referral and 1 day ISSP

Students will be released to class at 7:35 AM. The tardy bell will ring at 7:45 AM. Students must be in class before the tardy bell rings. If a student is tardy, he/she should report to the office for a tardy pass.

Students will be dismissed at 2:45. Parents may begin to line-up at designated pick-up areas at 2:30, not before. The 6th grade pick-up area is located at the 400 building by the green canopy that faces Stadium Drive. The 7th grade pick- up area is located by the gym (same as morning drop-off area). PLEASE DO NOT drop-off or pick-up students in front of the school by way of our main entrance. This is reserved for buses. Also, if you must check-out your child early, please make sure to arrive BEFORE 2:30. All check- outs must be completed by 2:30 so that we may prepare for dismissal. Only those persons on the approved contact list filled out at registration, with a PICTURE ID will be allowed to check-out a student.
