2 For Your Information - The end of unit test will be this Friday, October 21, 2016 The information being tested is all of Chapter 2 and Chapter 3. A remind has been sent to your parents. Get started preparing for this test right away. Make sure that your Power Point covering Chapter 3, Section 1 has been turned in. If you are not finished, come to learning lunch and finish it today.

Answer the following questions in your composition books. (Yes, write the questions, then answer them): What is photosynthesis? Why is it important? Is it found in plants or animals? What is cellular respiration?

5 Oct. 17th, 2016 Working with a partner:
Read pages In your composition books . Draw, color and label Figure 17 on page 93. Glue it into your Composition book. Extra credit (Worth 7 points towards the test): Complete Reviewing Key Concepts on page 94. Write the questions and the answers. Make sure your name, the date, and your class period is on it. Turn it into your class – in box.

6 Oct. 18th, 2016 – Video Questions for Cell Division
What is the purpose of cell division? What type of cell division is Asexual (one requires one parent cell)? What are the three main stages of cell division? What are the four steps of the middle stage? Based on the video, Mitosis is not ? What kind of cells does this type of cell division create? What is a Chromosome? What is a Centromere? What does replication mean? How many chromosomes do humans have?

7 Cell Division Cont’d – Oct 18-19,
You are going to create a Cell Division Booklet for your composition book. In the booklet, you will . . . Have a cover labelled Mitosis Write and answer all 10 questions above Draw, color, and label, the Chromosome, Centromere, and Nucleus found on page 97 Draw, color, and label, the Cell Cycle found on page (This can be accomplished by placing all of it on two pages in your booklet or by place one step on each pages in the correct order and labelling it like it is in the book. Draw, color, and label Figure 23, the DNA ladder found on page 101 in your textbook. Be sure to color it the same as the book, and label the nitrogen bases. You will be required to know how these nitrogen bases pair up. Finally, you and your partner may work together to record the Reviewing Key Concepts on page 102 and correctly answer the questions using what you have learned to help you. These booklets should be glued into your composition books on the next available page.
