Literacy Your child will participate in whole and small group reading instruction as well as book clubs and self-selected reading. Your child will be assessed using the Benchmark Assessment System, FAST testing and the Iowa Assessments.

Home Reading Minutes It is recommended that third graders read at home a minimum of 100 minutes per week. Please initial your child’s planner for every 25 minutes read. 25 minutes ________

Fun Day Friday Your child may earn 15 minutes on Friday towards free time. 5 minutes for math homework completed 5 minutes for 100 reading minutes completed 5 minutes for safe, responsible and respectful behavior.

School Volunteer To be able to participate in classroom parties, field trips and field day you must fill out the Volunteer Information Form. This form needs to be filled out every year. There will be no exceptions this year.
