Start creating a draft of your LAP 2 paragraph Complete exercises 3 and 5 on page Open Labs: Vocabulary Lesson 2 Work is due by C day, 9/23. Website open lab is due by G day, 9/27

3 Drafting Guidelines Turn your prewrite into a first draft
May be typed or hand-written Must be at least 8 sentences long Be sure to use a logical method of organization Have a clear topic sentence and main idea Have a clear audience

8 Ending Your Paragraph Use a clincher sentence– it can do 3 things:
Remind readers of the topic Summarize the paragraph Bring it to a logical close Ex. Though the car rides to and from Little Rock were a little rough, they were worth it since I got to spend time with the people I love the most– my family and friends. Ending Your Paragraph
