Key budget announcements
BIK relief on BEV’s continued but capped at a value of €50,000 (OMSP) BIK relief on BEV’s guaranteed for 3 years Diesel cars - 1% increase on VRT rate – eg 17% rate goes to 18% BIK incentive on PHEV’s not introduced – SIMI lobbied

What it means for our business
a local and global objective of BMW Group is: “for electric to become an integral part of all retailers operations, to sell and service the Groups current and future range of electrified vehicles including BMW i3, BMW i8, the range of plug-in hybrid vehicles as well as the forthcoming BMW iX3 and the MINI Electric”.

What you need to get started
Car with “Plug in” capabilities – SEAI Grant Wall box fitted at home – SEAI Grant for residence Wall box fitted at work (e.g Apple Cork – book charge bays/hr) Cables – home charging and public charging cables ESB charge card E Flow account to take advantage of reduced tolls

THANK YOU. My aim today was to try and give a very brief overview of the basics of EV’s, This is a change that will happen slowly 2040 is the date set by the EU that only “Zero” emission cars can be sold new We have a BEV and a PHEV here today so if anyone would like to see them afterwards I will be outside July, 2018.
