Schedule PE first 20-30 minutes of the day (Mondays 1hr)
Clark-Language Arts/Science Fry- Math/ Social Science Rotate Elective at the end of the day starting September

Curriculum All of the 6th grade curriculum is based off of the 6th grade Common Core Standards Pacing is based off of the district pacing guide

Homework Policy All homework must be completed in pencil, on time, to the best of your child’s ability (nice and neat) All papers must be headed correctly, (first & last name, Subject, Period, all in the top right corner Homework must contain Full Sentences, with proper capitalization and punctuation, or else it will be returned to the student and marked incomplete. Students are responsible for their homework assignments All homework will be posted on the website for parents and students to view.

Late work Policy Late homework will not be accepted!!
If a student is absent they will have one day for every day absent to turn in the work. (Talk to me if more time is needed) If a major assignment, report, or book report is due, it must be to school by then end of the day unless arrangements are made with us.

Nameless Papers Will be put in the “T” file
Next year is middle school and teachers will not search for students’ papers Teacher will remind the students to write their name on their paper before the work is turned in

Absences It is the students responsibility to get the make up work and or test they missed during their absence Students will have one day for every day absent to make up missed work Students who attend school regularly are more successful in achieving curricular goals, so we encourage positive and punctual attendance. If absent, please call the office or send in a written note.

Detention (after school)
Can be earned by: Poor behavior Missing assignments

Grades Infinite campus; grades Report cards 1 – 3,
3: Grade level 2: Approaching Grade Level 1: Below Grade Level Standards Parents responsibility; Fill out infinite campus form (to get setup) Check infinite campus on a regular basis

Accelerated Reader Students are responsible for reading AR books and taking the quizzes Each quiz gives the students points Students must accumulate points a trimester AR books are available in the school library as well as in my classroom library
