Our district and school are committed to having homework that is meaningful and manageable.

Math – 3-4 nights a week
Reading – 30 minutes a night – at least!

17. Social Studies Field Testing:
Elementary Social Studies is currently in the adoption process to ensure that materials are standard-aligned and modern in their approach.
Our class may be covering topics that differ from our peers. 
Our pacing of topics may be quicker, as field-testing concludes the end of February. 
Our input matters.  Our class will have a say in making sure social studies is standard-aligned, modern in its approach, and inclusive to all.  
Fourth Grade Social Studies: Fall 
This fall our class will be focusing on the big idea of Washington Earliest Times in Social Studies. 
Washington Earliest Times: This inquiry focuses on Washington’s physical geography in general and on the relationship between Native American nations and their environments (pre-1700) in particular through the compelling question “Where and how did the earliest Washingtonians live?”
